Hypotheticals

- It'd be interesting to see how UGA fans would react if the the Dawgs lost 5 of their last seven games. I'm not saying it will happen, but if this QB situation explodes even more and some unfortunate injuries occur UGA could drop games against UT, UF, @ UK, @ AU, and GT. Richt should definitely get a pass, but I'd be very curious to see how Dawg supporters would react. I think they lose at least 3 of those games and possibly 4. 5 would be a complete meltdown.

- When is Georgia Tech going to lay the egg that we're all expecting? In reality, it could very well be Miami. Which is saying something that I now think Tech should be favored in that game. Though it could still be rationalized. So will they beat Maryland, NC State, UNC and Duke? They better. Then that leaves Clemson, Miami, and UGA to 2 out of 3 from and go 10-2. That'd be a hell of a turn around for Gailey/Ball over the last 3 years.

- I'm not very impressed with Florida. I expect them to lose their next two ball games. Then in the east my question would become who would win the LSU/UT game that would basically decide the East if UT beats UGA. If UT beats UGA and then loses to LSU, it'll be a mess again.

- I wouldn't be surprised if Clemson ran the table from here on out. A home game against GT, a game in Blacksburg, and a trip to face the Gamecocks in Columbia are their toughest tests. They need BC to lose another game to reach the Championship game, but if they made it, they would have likely already beaten whomever they face. I'm assuming Miami won't make it.

- I'm very cautiously optimistic about the Auburn/Arkansas game. If they dedicate themselves to playing a ball control power running game, and Auburn doesn't try hard enough to exploit their secondary, this could be way to close of a game. Auburn could also win by 35. Sidenote, because of other games and traveling to and from games, I haven't actually seen Arkansas play this year.

- LSU is playing the bruising fullback role for Auburn's season. Auburn got demolished physically by LSU and several players are still rehabbing injuries from that game. So who do Florida and Alabama play the week before Auburn? LSU. And as much as I'd like for both of those games to be easy wins, I doubt they will be.

While I agree UF hasn't been too impressive this year, I think you're overrating LSU (UF lost by 2 in Baton Rouge last year and has improved dramatically). I think October 14th is a more likely 1st loss.

On another note I hit both of my $10 parlays on sat:

Michigan
Oregon
Cal

Illinois
WSU
NIU

I'm hoping that Richt has now taken every ounce of confidence out of each of these three quarterbacks by constantly yanking them out of games. Did he learn nothing from fat ass Phil last year. Oh well, I plan on betting against them this weekend, Joe T 3 is definately not the savior of this squad.

By the way Clemson v. South Carolina is in Clemson not Columbia, and your daddy will be in attendance. I actually hope SC starts winning some games, so that they will not schedule the game at 11 am EST. I find it hard to drink Wild Turkey in the am.

First of all, you need to refer yourself as something other than "my daddy". That just confuses people. If word got out that International Superstart Bert Casey was going to be at the game, ticket prices would soar to an ureasonable amount. I also just assumed the game was in Clemson last year since USC lost. That makes their schedule a lot easier.

Regarding Florida, Iast year has absolutely no bearing on this year. LSU's D line is going to tear through the patchwork Florida offensive line. You can't win against great defenses without a running game. It almost cost Florida against UT and it will definitely hurt them on Saturday. I see Florida getting an absolute max of 17 points. LSU will be able to air it out on Florida and make enough plays to win. Seriously, look at the matchups. Name one unit on Florida that is better than LSU.

So International Superstar Bert Casey isn't going to be at the Clemson - USC game after all...now I have to change my plans.

Seriously, you expect LSU to be able to air it out? Is it the Gators 8 interceptions vs 3 TDs allowed, or the opponents 54% completion percentage that is giving you this idea?

Also, despite the gaudy stats agaist weak (excluding Auburn) competition, I'll take Chris Leak and Mike Alstott (I mean Tim Tebow) over JaMarcus Russell.

The running game is a serious issue going in though.

Alabama and Tennesee both have vasty inferior defenses compared to LSU. So instead of the offense putting up 21 let's say they manage to put up 13-14. Do you think that Florida's secondary can contain Russel, Bowe, Doucet, and Davis the whole game and keep them under 14 points. Keeping in mind that LSU will be winning the field position battle all day.

I also fully expect Chris Leak to leave the game injured. Glenn Dorsey is a beast. And don't expect the Tebow qb keeper to work this week. Bo Pellini is an outstanding coach that has outstanding athletes to work with.

Florida has enough athletes to pull out a victory. I'm just not expecting it. I game them a pass against the Vols on the road, but against bama last week they were mediocre.

Good points, but I can't help but be blinded by coaching competance (10-0 at home under Urban, though that doesn't include any top 10 teams), after years of "improvement" under the Zooker.
