I haven't been posting much lately because December is the only month I take my job very seriously. However, you should expect an awesome New Year's resolution.

Found this youtube video on fark.com of the cast from Scrubs overdubbing a Charlie Brown Christmas with their own character's voices and plotlines. Which is cool and wrong all at the same time.



Also found this list of the best 2,006 songs from 2006. I'm linking to this not because it's a good list (the #1 song sucks for example) but because how absurd it is. I actually liked several tracks on their downloadable Christmas mix. But how can someone that actually likes music listen to that many new songs a year. If you figure that an albums generally has 12 songs on it, that'd require buying 167 new albums this year. How on earth could you have time to listen to great records made before this year. Sure you could listen to one new album a day but you'd have to listen to each album more than once to be able to rank your favorite songs. This whole thing has just left me perplexed. But hey...maybe you'll find a song you like. Also, John Mayer sucks. I don't mean he's not talented. He just has no clue.

I'm usually a wiz at finding whatever I want on Google but every now again I get stumped. I'm trying to buy the lamest fucking Christmas sweater ever made. I want it to be red and have reindeer, or Santa, or snowflakes or preferably all three on it. I want it to look itchy. I want the sweater that everyone hated as a child.

Klosterman

Chucky boy has a new article about the Ali Rap show that's going to be on ESPN after the Heisman ceremony. Hopefully it's better than 3, Season on the Brink, and Junction Boys. But considering a) it's not a movie and 2) it's about Ali, I don't see much reason why it shouldn't be awesome.

I'm currently reading Chuck Klosterman IV: A Decade of Curious People and Dangerous Ideas. It's fantastic. It's slightly different than Sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs but just as amusing. The profiles of Steve Nash and Bono are both hilarious and his essay on Archenemies and Nemises is borderline brilliant. I'd put it right up there with Tony Kornheiser's I'm Back for More Cash as the greatest bathroom read of all time. You know, excluding Calvin and Hobbes and Get Fuzzy books. The best way for me to sum up Klosterman is that even when I completely disagree with him, I find him totally amusing. Which would make him the exact opposite of Skip Bayless.
